China is far ahead in facial recognition technology, software, cameras, equipment and daily applications in people’s lives. Very few other peoples in the world are as adaptive to new high-tech, but as the implications began to set in, citizens began to express their concerns to Baba Beijing. This in turn got all the providing and using companies worried, so as to not alienate their customers. The buzz is so loud that facial recognition’s increasing applications has been put on hold, until new laws that the citizens will accept can be passed. From the business side, 28 tech companies just set up a national level working group, to help transmit society’s expectations for the new legislation.
